City of Chetopa

As a result of a consolidation study in the fall of 2000, Chetopa resident and USD 505 board member George Davis, organized a Community Task Force.  Mr. Davis wanted a fair representation of our community and therefore formed the Task Force from various organizations within the City.  The Task Force organized the Pecan Fest which is now an annual event.  The organization is interested in businesses or companies with a desire to re-locate.  To request a meeting call 620-236-7830 or 236-7420 ask for Ron.

The Ministerial Alliance is an important asset to the City of Chetopa, spearheading important events, helping people in times of crisis, setting up the yearly Angel Tree and helping those who have needs.  They host special services during the year at designated churches in order to obtain funds to help those in need.  For more information on the Ministerial Alliance of Chetopa and how you may help or get involved call 620-236-7170 or 620-236-7701.

The Booster Club consist of parents of students and others interested in the support of school aged youth.  The Booster Club provides drinks, snacks, supplies and other items for the various events organized by the school.  If you are interested in contributing  your time or monetary assistance you may call the Chetopa School at 620-236-7244.

The Chamber of Commerce is comprised of businessmen and businesswomen and other community oriented parties who are interested in the economic development of the City of Chetopa.
